Omotayo is a seasoned professional in the Sub-sectors of Culture, Tourism, Information and Social Development. In fact, she excelled so well that the Federal Government of Nigeria accorded her a National Honour in 2006, as Member of the Federal Republic, MFR. In addition, Omotayo has special flair for Television Production and Presentation, Effective & Efficient Information Management, Media Relations and Investment Promotions.
Omotayo Omotosho, MFR was educated at Sacred Heart Private School, Ring Road – Ibadan. A product of Christ’s School Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State. She proceeded to the famous Polytechnic Ibadan for her Basic Studies. A Social Science graduate of the University of Lagos, Akoka, Omotayo Omotosho holds a Bachelor of Social Science Degree in Psychology. B. Sc (Hons). Specializing in Communications Psychology, Omotayo trained as a TV broadcaster/Public Relations practitioner and Information Management expert.
September 16th, 1963 in Ibadan.
Trained as a Media Practitioner/Communication Professional in the field of Information Dissemination/Broadcasting and endowed with natural Communication skills. Also, practical experience as a
T.V. Journalist garnered from the Culture, Tourism, Travel Trade/Aviation & Destination Marketing, Banking & Finance, Investment Promotion, Commerce, Infrastructure, Oil/Gas and Media sub-sectors.
5. PUBLIC SERVICE
In 1996, Omotayo Omotosho was appointed Chairman, Governing Board of the Lagos State Broadcasting Corporation by the then Military Administrator of Lagos State, Brig. General Buba Marwa. In this position, Omotosho served with distinction, transforming the Corporation into a highly successful Broadcasting Organization. Till today, Eko FM & Lagos Television Stations are the pride of not only Lagosians but also of the generality of Nigerians. It was a 3year appointment – She finished her tenure in 1999.
In August 2000, Omotayo Omotosho was appointed by the Federal Government of Nigeria as Director – General, Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation(NTDC), a position in which she created an unprecedented level of awareness for Tourism development in Nigeria. She transformed the otherwise moribund Corporation into a dynamic corporate establishment and made Tourism more visible in our National Economy. Professionals in the industry say she gave a face and a voice to Tourism Development in Nigeria.

2003-2004: Vice-chairman, Accreditation Committe, Commonwealth Heads of Government (CHOGM), Abuja.

6. AT NTDC
She created a vibrant public/private sector Partnership with both the hospitality industry and non-hospitality sectors of our Economy, such as Banks, insurance companies, Transportation/Aviation agencies and Multinationals e.t.c. Omotayo Omotosho pioneered Public/Private Sector participation in Tourism development in Nigeria.
During her tenure, Omotosho organized and hosted Investment Roundtables for Nigeria Tourism Promotion within Nigeria, Europe, America, South Africa and West Africa. These Roundtables were mostly sponsored by the private sector, without relying solely on Government funds to execute this highly Capital Intensive Government programs.
It was during Omotosho’s tenure that an African won, for the first time, the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world- The Miss World, Agbani Darego. She took time to acquaint the Miss World Organization with Nigeria’s rich tourism potentials by taking the Queen on a Tour of the Country’s numerous Tourism attractions/Natural resources. With Agbani being the first African to emerge MISS WORLD, Omotayo as DG Nigeria Tourism proactively saw a reason to designate Agbani Darego as a unique BRAND to promote NIGERIA and its rich tourism Potentials to the outside world.
MISS WORLD was a TRADEMARK, representing Nigeria at various International Tourism fora like ITB Berlin, World Travel and Tourism Market in London, ATA Tourism Exhibition in Washington DC, Travel and Tourism Conference in South Africa and World Tourism Exhibition Market in Spain. She became the cynosure of attraction, attending several World Press Conferences solely targeted at Promoting Nigeria’s rich Tourism attractions. With such unique brand for Nigeria and the level of awareness created, an increase in the Tourist inflow to Nigeria was recorded.
Motivational Speaking as demonstrated at various lnternational Fora in the US, Caribbean lslands, Europe, South Africa and Nigeria. A good example in Nigeria was at the opening ceremony of the 54 Heads of Government meeting in Abuja (CHOGM) as Master of Ceremony. She is a master of policy-based ceremonies, her other interests include Investment promotion, Poetry/creativity, Small & Medium Scale Enterprises, Cultural-Tourism, Adventure/Eco-Tourism, Charity and Philantropy. She is a result-oriented manager of people with innate leadership skills.

9. NATIONAL AWARD
She was conferred with the National Honours Award of Member of the Federal Republic, MFR in 2006 by the Federal Government of Nigeria, in recognition of her meritorious services to the Nation.
10. CURRENT POSITION
She is the Chief Executive of Pacesetters Communications ltd, the Publishers of the book: From Want to Wealth, amongst others. She is Chairman- Governing Board of Wealthstrings Consulting & Executive Secretary- Towards A Greater Nigeria Foundation.
A devote christian, creative artiste, celebrated broadcaster and a communications expert, Omotayo is happily married with children.
